Driving a Flexicar
All of our Flexicars are automatic and easy to drive. We rely on our passionate member community to respect the Flexicars and other Flexicar members. All members need to be familiar with the membership Terms and Conditions and be aware of rules and fines (listed below).

Making a booking

The first step to driving a Flexicar is booking a Flexicar. It only takes a minute to book a car online - and it's totally free. You can download a short guide on how to book a Flexicar online if it's your first time. You can also call 1 300 36 37 80 and our staff will make a booking on your behalf for a small surcharge.

Rules & Fines

You should familiarise yourself with the following rules and related fines, to ensure you save your wallet and keep other Flexicar members as happy as we hope you'll be!

• Untidy Car
You’re asked to leave the car so that it is ready for the next member. If the car is left dirty or there is rubbish, spillages or sand, mud, grass etc left in the car, then you will be fined. The fine is $50 (min).

• Low Fuel
Please make sure there is at least ¼ of a tank of fuel left in the Flexicar so it is ready to go for the next member. The fine is $50 (min).

• Running Late – have informed Flexicar
If you are late, you must call 15 minutes before your booking ends on 1 300 36 37 80. We’ll extend the booking if we can. If not, you will need to return the car immediately and you will be fined for the awaiting member’s inconvenience.

• Running Late – have NOT informed Flexicar
If there is a member waiting: Fine $75 (min)
If there is no member waiting: Fine $20 per half hour

• No Smoking & No Pets
Smokers, take it outside. Pet owners, we recommend using a pet taxi service. The fine is $100 (min).

• Flat Battery
Please leave the car with all lights off and the key placed back into its appropriate position (not in the ignition) and all doors and the boot are closed. Failure to do this will result in a flat battery. The fine is $50 (min).

• Taking the Key
Please leave the key in the Flexicar at the end of your booking. Immediate return is subject to a remote entry fee of $5. If it is returned later and inconveniences a member, a fine will apply. The fine is $50 (min).

• Losing/Damaging a Key
Please keep the Flexicar key safe at all times during the time of your booking. The fine is $50 plus the replacement key costs.

• Parking and Speeding Fines
They’re all yours. We’ll be reporting to the appropriate body who had the Flexicar on hire when it broke the law. An admin fee will be placed on your invoice should you incur one of these fines.
