) Flexicar Launches in Docklands 4th April 2008Flexicar will offer Docklands residents and workers a green, cheap and easy alternative to car ownership, with cars available by the hour or day, at an all-inclusive rate of $9-$12 per hour – including petrol. Flexicar won a recent tender by the City of Melbourne to provide car sharing across the three Docklands precincts. Lord Mayor John So said the extension of Flexi-car into Docklands recognised the precinct’s growing residential and working population. The new Flexicar locations are: • Doepel Way, New Quay • Bourke Street, Victoria Harbour – near corner Merchant St • Lorimer Street, service lane – north side (closest to water) Flexicar CEO, Monique Conheady, said the three new cars based in Docklands would join a fleet of over 55 Flexicars available in inner-city Melbourne, including six in the CBD. “The Docklands is such an exciting new part of Melbourne, and we’re excited to be a part of it. With the growing number of corporate offices, and the increasing residential population at Docklands, we’re sure our Flexicars – three zippy Honda Jazzes - will be well utilised from launch,” Flexicar CEO, Monique Conheady, said. |
