) How does Flexicar work? Car sharing is a cheap, easy and green alternative to car ownership.How it works It’s easy to use our Flexicars. Just click, swipe and drive. Well maybe we should explain it in a little more detail. (If you're the visual type, you may like to watch 're:flex. The movie', which explains how to use the Flexicar service to new members.) Step 1. Join First you decide on a plan that suits you (they start from as little as $15 driving credit purchase a month), then you join online. Once we’ve received your application, we’ll send you out a member pack that includes your personal Flexicard. Please note, we can only accept Mastercard and Visa. Step 2. Click Then comes the click part. Now that you are a member, when you want to book, just click online (or by phone 9am-5pm seven days a week). You choose the car you like or the location you like that day, on that's close to your home or work. So you can book Samson the Subaru Forester in the City Square Car Park. Or Batman the Honda Jazz in Toorak Road. You can book any time, day or night. And up to a year in advance. Or at the very last minute when you suddenly realise you have to collect your parents from the airport. Step 3. Swipe Now comes the fun bit. When you join, we'll send you a Flexicard - your personal access card. After you’ve booked a car, you go to that car and swipe your card across the windscreen of the booked Flexicar. The doors will unlock automatically. Very James Bond. And the keys are in the car. Step 4. Drive This step is pretty straightforward. You can take your Flexicar wherever you like. Whenever you like. As far as you want. The drive-in. The beach. Shopping. A business meeting. When you’ve finished, you just return it to the same designated car sharing parking space. There’s no paperwork. No hassles.
